Marilyn Monroe, nascida Norma Jeane Mortenson, (Los Angeles, 1 de junho de 1926 — Brentwood, 4 de agosto de 1962) foi uma atriz, modelo e cantora norte-americana. Como estrela de cinema de Hollywood, é um dos maiores símbolos sexuais do século XX, imortalizada pelos cabelos loiros e as suas formas voluptuosas. Inicialmente, ficou famosa por interpretar personagens cômicos, tornando-se sucesso no cinema. Apesar de sua carreira ter durado apenas uma década, seus filmes arrecadaram mais de duzentos milhões de dólares até sua morte inesperada em 1962. Seis décadas após sua morte, continua sendo considerada um dos maiores ícones da cultura popular.
